Mon Journal #35 (The most romantic story I know is . . . . What makes a story "romantic" or "Romantic"?). Intro Evangeline. Distribute copies of Evangeline. Vocab for first section of Evangeline (bolded in text).
Hmwk: complete vocab definitions.
Tues Due: vocab definitions for first section of Evangeline. Begin reading (along with Hal Holbrook recording) --to end of Section 1. Work on vocab for Sections 2 & 3.
Hmwk: Do some background reading about the historical event upon which Evangeline is based. Write out notes (in your own words, in your own handwriting, with complete source/s) to bring to class. Be prepared to share what you discover.
