Wed (WASC Visit) Due: second draft (structure carefully analyzed) of PW project. Debriefing of Monday's discussion (what went well? what do we need to improve?) Peer review of essay structure. Hmwk: 3rd draft of PW project.

Mon Pudd'nhead Wilson celebration and work period. Hmwk: complete PW project and study for test (both on Wed.)

Wed Work period for letter project. Peer review, revise. Hmwk: revise letter.

Last regular class day: review for final exam essay. Peer review 2nd drafts of letter project. Final exam options:

  1. Pick a general topic (marriage, friends, church, family, etc.) and compare God's way and the devil's way--according to C.S. Lewis.

  2. According to C.S. Lewis, what does it mean to be a Christian?

  3. Pick something on which you disagree with C.S. Lewis. Contrast your idea to Lewis's, and explain and support your position.

The teacher will pick two of the above options to put on the exam paper. Then, at the exam, you will pick one to write on during the exam period. Hmwk: study for test and complete final draft of letter. [Screwtape Letters summaries by classmates & Engl 12 students ] Create 3" X 5" notecard to use during exam period.

Week of May 30 to June 3
Mon No School: Memorial Day [Screwtape Letters summaries by classmates & Engl 12 students ]
Wed Final Exam: 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Bring final hard copy draft of Screwtape Letter project to final exam, Wed. Submit to Turnitin.com by midnight, Thurs.
