Wed Optional re-write of TMOV essay due. Should have TGE finished by today. Collect evidence from TGE about how Wang Lung determines his own self-image, self-esteem, self-value, and/or self-worth. Look for specific passages in the novel. Hmwk: continue working on project for next Wed.
Fri Writing about TGE. Organize and begin writing in-class essay on Wang Lung's self-esteem. Hmwk:continue working on project for next Wed.
Week of November 15 to 19
Mon Complete rough draft of in-class essay. Share and revise your in-class essay on Wang Lung's self-esteem. Hmwk: continue working on project for Wed.
Wed TGE projects (food, decorations, oral presentations). Mid-quarter English notebook check. Continue working on in-class essays.

Mon (Midterm Reports) Complete in-class essays. Begin Dicken's Cricket on the Hearth. Hmwk: begin reading CotH to get feel for rhythm of prose and prepare for oral reading. Also, spend some time thinking about the class project for CotH.
Wed Begin oral reading of CotH. Hwmk: work on notes, definitions, decorations, and artwork for class edition of CotH.
Fri Continue oral reading of CotH. Hmwk: continue working on class edition of CotH.
Week of December 6 to 10
Mon Continue oral reading of CotH. Hmwk: continue working on class edition of CotH.
