Hmwk: Learn more about the Lambs' Tales from Shakespeare. Here's a link to a facsimile reproduction of the Preface. When were the Lambs' Tales from Shakespeare written? Why were they written? When did Shakespeare write The Taming of the Shrew? What are the time relationships between Shakespeare's writing of the play, the Lambs' re-telling the stories, and today? Does Mary Lamb's re-telling of The Taming of the Shrew seem like a children's story to you? Explain.
