Continue with test review. On your assigned page in Evangeline, find:

  1. A simile. What are the two points of comparison?
  2. What is the setting for your page?
  3. Pick a line and analyze the meter by marking the scansion.
  4. Can you find an example of onomatopoeia? Alliteration?
  5. Does your page have a Biblical allusion? To what story? A classical allusion?
  6. Look for an example of personification.
  7. Identify caesura, end stopping, and enjambment.
  8. Look for an example of inversion.
  9. Bonus round :-) metonymy or synecdoche? Or an example from 21st century life.

Hmwk: Make sure your literary terms and figurative language worksheet AND today's review activity are finished before class starts on Monday.

Week of February 23 to 27
