Extended Metaphor Poem
Peer Review

  1. What are the two things being compared?

  2. Are they too obviously similar to make an effective metaphorical comparison?

  3. Are there enough examples of how the things are similar? If so, list a few of these examples.

  4. Are the comparisons effective? Do they illustrate the qualities of the things compared well?

  5. Are the descriptions vivid and interesting? Which descriptions are particularly good? Are there any that could be better? How?

  6. Is the poem in rhyming couplets? Can you give the poet any suggestions?

  7. Do you notice spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors? If so, note them for the poet.
