Hist 337 provide a history of California from it's native origins to the present day.



II. Requirements:

2. Daily Reading Quizzes:

Your daily quiz score will consist of quizzes on daily reading assignments. Quizzes cannot be made up. Unexcused absences will result in the score of 0. Excused absences will be averaged into your quiz score.

3. Reviews:

* A 2-3 page book review of The Shirley Letters. Due December 8.

* A 3-5 page review of the California Railroad Museum

* A 3-5 page essay on the presentation at the California History

4. Paper: A 7-10 page paper on a specific person or topic during this time period. Proposals for the paper must be turned in and discussed with the teacher no later than October 17.

5. Mid-term Exam: October 29

6. Final Exam: December 11 - 5:00-6:45.

** All late work will be penalized 20% and must be turned in within one week of the original due date to receive any credit.

** Exams must be made up within one (1) week of test date and will vary from the original test.

III. Grading:

Grading Scale:

A 93-100 B- 80-82 D+ 67-69

A- 90-92 C+ 77-79 D 63-66

B+ 87-89 C 73-76 D- 60-62
