Ubiquity:  Very common.

Distritution:  Throughout except south of Napa.

Plant Communities:  Woodlands, Forests, atypically in Serpentine Chaparral

Habitats:  Dry to moist, sunny to partially shaded, rarely ultramafic, forested or wooded or rarely brushy slopes/canyons/streamsides; in all geologic formations, but rarely on serpentine

Elevations:  90-3000'

Acer negundo  L.

     var. californicum  (T. & G.) Wesmael./Sarg?

Ubiquity:  Very uncommon

Distritution:  Now known only along the Napa River within the town of Napa.  Once grew along Putah Cr. in the Berryessa Valley, and probably in Berryessa Canyon below Berryessa Valley.  There used to be a tree on the upper west bank of the Napa River at Oak Knoll Ave., and there yet maybe trees between there and Napa.

Plant Communities:  Valley Oak Riparian & Ruderal

Habitats:  Moist, sunny to shaded riversides/riverbanks; occasionally in landscapes

Elevations:  20-250'
