The design must communicate the relationship Home Study International has with their clients. Home Study International provides six essential qualities
Client would prefer a design which incorporates a symbol of some kind, not just a type design or use of the initials HSI.

Assignment parameters:
The client is an organization whose primary concern is providing counseling and, if needed, shelter to battered women. The shelter provides hot-line services free of charge and shelter accommodations are free for the first 15 days, with minimal service charges thereafter if other arrangements have not been made. While a portion of the Project's funding is from state and government sources, the majority of funds are donated or raised through various charity benefits. Most workers for the Project are volunteers, with a minimum stipend provided for managerial positions
The purpose of the Project's logo is to provide a visual element which will be associated with the Project. Application of the logo would be confined to local usages, and various print material using the logo would be seen often by the same market. Usages will include, but not be limited to posters; brochures; hot-line phone number stickers; mailers; worker I.D.; any fund raising materials.
Since the Project does not have a lot of money to spend, most printed materials would be printed in one color, though occasional two color opportunities would arise.
