A Law Beyond

The mind, the will,
A chemical spill.
Is there a choice?
Or a senseless voice
Shouting within,
A lure to sin?

Does the sum of the parts
Assemble ramparts
None can assail?
Why do I fail?
Random molecules
Follow no rules.

But still there's a remnant
Destroying contentment
I must control;
Yet not my role,
A law beyond
Mere chemical bond.
